Automated Transformer Testing," to advocate some of the advantages of using this
technology for transformer testing:

The
question was raised as to whether these power sources could
be used to generate waveforms with varying harmonics. Based on discussions,
the equipment can very easily create waveforms with varying harmonic
and/or ring content. Pacific Power Source has a 1999 document,
"UPC Interactive Add-In - SINE32.XLS,"
that addresses the process for
creating waveform definition files, as well as, an Excel program, "UPC12/UPC32
Waveform Synthesis Spreadsheet," tool that creates the file.
